South Australia faced challenges in 2020 due to winter drought and unusual weather patterns. However, despite these adversities, the low yields contributed to exceptional quality. The wine offers a beautiful fruit profile, and you won't detect any oak influence in its aroma. You'll notice fruits of the forest, confectionery notes, and savoury elements like spiced sausage and pan scrapings.
It maintains its savoury character with umami nuances on the palate, featuring Japanese nori paper and olive brine. Fresh blueberry and mulberry leaf provide a solid core, while exotic spices add depth. The tactile tannins can be likened to Dutch cocoa.
