Hihi Taster Trio

Hihi Wines is a small boutique wine label based in Gisborne. The label was launched by Andy Nimmo in 2005. Since then over 100 award winning wines have been produced including 6 gold medals over the years. Their wines include a range of Sparkling Wines, Chardonnay, Albarino, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Gewurztraminer, Rosé, Merlot, Malbec/Merlot, Merlot/Malbec, Syrah, Montepulciano and a range of Fortified Wines. Hihi Bubbly As NV An intriguingly floral and spicy sparkling wine. Gewurztraminer 48%, Pinot Gris 26% Albarino 26%. A honeysuckle bouquet leads to a ginger and lychee finish. 

Hihi Pinotage 2021 The Hihi Pinotage 2021 is a smooth, medium-bodied wine that showcases rich blackberry flavors with a touch of licorice, all complemented by spicy French oak. Pinotage is not a common grape variety in New Zealand, but Hihi Wines has seen excellent success with it, crafting a balanced and unique expression of this varietal. Winner of a Silver Medal at the NZ International Wine Show 2023. 

Hihi Merlot 2019 An approachable and easy drinking wine. Ripe plums complimented by American and French oak. Harvested from Hamish Jackson’s vineyard in Gisborne.
