Warming and rich, perfect for winter! The Cotes du Rhone is the home of Syrah in France. In the north its usually made as a single varietal (although sometimes mixed with a splash of Viognier) and in the south, it can be mixed into a blend of up to 7 grapes. The Prestige de Calvet Syrah is grown in the south and is blended with Grenache, creating a sumptuous red which is the perfect pairing to any winter meal. Ripe cherries and jammy strawberries mingle with vanilla and Christmas cake spice on the palate. Drink this one now!
Great with cold meats, salad, grilled meat and a large of number Mediterranean dishes.
